Job description

Responsibilities
Peraton is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer to facilitate the government customer's management of a large High Performance Computing (HPC) related program. This program is on the cutting edge and includes everything from HPC test planning and execution, architecture design and prototyping, and vendor outreach and collaboration support.
Program technical areas include commercial cloud technologies, high performance computing, and enterprise architecture. The program is tactically important to the national security of the United States and the work on these missions are frequently recognized for their results and the Program Integrator will be directly involved in ensuring the government is successful in achieving their planned objectives of this growing, high-profile program.
The Systems Engineer will provide technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of all components of complex hardware/software systems to include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting systems requirements reviews, developing concepts of operation and interface standards, developing system architectures, and performing technical/non-technical assessment and management, as well as end-to-end flow analysis. #AJCM #MDFSP
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in a qualified engineering field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus fifteen (15) years of relevant systems engineering experience, OR
    • A Master's degree OR PhD in a qualified engineering field or a related discipline from an accredited college or university plus thirteen (13) years of relevant systems engineering experience, OR
    • A High School Diploma or GED plus nineteen (19) years of relevant systems engineering experience, OR
  • Position requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in one of these two areas would be a significant plus:
    • extensive high performance computing experience sufficient to analyze HPC system performance, OR
    • experience transitioning applications to the cloud.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Target Salary Range
$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
