Health Care Business Development Manager

Electrical Distribution - Hospitals, Health Systems & Medical Facilities

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Health Care Business Development Manager to lead growth within the health care market segment. This role focuses on developing business with hospitals, health systems, outpatient facilities, longterm care centers, and medical campuses. The manager will drive strategic partnerships, secure project and MRO opportunities, and serve as the subjectmatter expert on healthcare procurement processes, standards, and compliance requirements.

The position requires strong business development skills, relationship building, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and supplier partners.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to grow sales within the health care sector.
  • Identify, pursue, and win opportunities with hospitals, medical facilities, and healthcare networks.
  • Build relationships with healthcare facility managers, procurement teams, contractors, and engineering departments.
  • Monitor and engage in healthcarerelated RFPs, capital projects, construction programs, and MRO opportunities.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to identify healthcarefocused product solutions and secure competitive pricing.
  • Support sales teams with expertise in healthcare purchasing processes, regulations, and facility requirements.
  • Deliver presentations, conduct onsite visits, and participate in industry events to promote the company's value.
  • Track pipeline activity, report market trends, and analyze revenue and margin performance.

 

 

Qualifications

  • 3-7+ years of healthcare business development, medical facility sales, or related industry experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of hospital procurement processes, facility standards, and compliance needs (e.g., infection control, electrical safety, construction protocols).
  • Background in electrical distribution, construction materials, or industrial/MRO supply preferred.
  • Proven success in building relationships with health system decisionmakers.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and proposal development skills.
  • Ability to manage complex opportunities and work crossfunctionally with internal and external partners.

Location:

 

  • This role may be based remotely or in a regional office, with travel required to meet partners and attend industry events.

Salary: $80,000 to $110,000 per year
