Job description

JOB TITLE:           Seasonal Visual Merchandiser

Job Status:          Temporary, Full-Time and Part-time

Reports to:         Head Merchant

Pay:                       $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the execution of visual merchandising and displays as directed by the Senior Visual Merchandiser.   This will include creating a visual shopping experience that supports Roger’s Gardens brand and sales goals. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

•             Ensures proper level of inventory is on the floor at all times.  Merchandise needs to be kept clean & dusted and displays need to be kept clean and organized.

•             Responsible for handling of merchandise from the time it is loaded onto the cart to being merchandised on the sales floor.  This responsibility includes merchandise being returned to receiving, production or the visual display storage areas.  All merchandise considered “Go-Backs” needs to be clean, ticketed, packaged correctly, and put back in its place.

•             Inventory control with proper procedures and paperwork, handling of defective merchandise, breakage, and pricing of merchandise.

•             Communicate with the Buyers regarding fast and/or slow-moving merchandise.  Work with the team to relocate slow moving merchandise.

•             Work with the Visual team under the direction of the Senior Visual Team Lead to executive displays and merchandising.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize projects and handle multiple tasks in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  •  Detail oriented with excellent follow through
  • Ability to move merchandise weighing up to 25obs on a regular basis
  • Ability to stand on ladders, use household power tools and lighting
  • Ability to be on your feet and work for the length of the shift
