Head Start Early Childhood Services Director / Education & Disabilities Manager - Full Time
Contracted 260 days / annually
Salary: Commensurate with experience & education
Position Summary: The ECSD serves as the lead manager of the education and disabilities programmatic areas of the Head Start program. The ECSD is a part of the Head Start administrative team. The ECSD supervises the education team and is the primary liaison with LEAs and ESCs for disability services.
Qualifications & Requirements: Per the Head Start Program Performance Standards (HSPPS), at a minimum, a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (or a closely related field* with at least 4 courses of ECE concentration) is required. Per the Ohio Department of Children and Youth, preschool licensing requirements, a PreK licensure in accordance with 3319.22 ORC which includes a Resident Educator license or a 5-year educator license. Possess a valid Ohio Driver's License and liability insurance.
Knowledge & Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience with Head Start.
Minimum of (3) years as a supervisor of more than three staff.
Demonstrate an understanding of developmentally appropriate practices for early childhood.
Fluent knowledge and skills utilizing Microsoft 365, Google processes, Adobe, Canva, and data collection platforms.
Demonstrate an understanding of Ohio preschool licensing regulations.
Training in Conscious Discipline preferred.
