Job description

Little Oaks Hands-On Learning Center, LLC is looking for childcare teachers to join our team!


We are located at 3400 Bath Pike, Bethlehem, PA.


Our ideal candidate is a hard-working, team player who is responsible and professional.


At this time, we are looking for a part-time teacher or floating teacher who can substitute when needed. Afternoon shifts are preferred at this time, but morning shifts may be available.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and monitor children's indoor and outdoor activities to assure children's safety
  • Keep records of children's progress, routines, and interests and relay necessary information to parents
  • Communicate with room teachers and parents about students' day 
  • Prepare and serve snacks/lunches sent in for children in your room
  • Maintain a clean and sterile environment
  • Write and/or follow lesson plan for specific age group


Minimum Required Qualifications

*All requirements below must be met in order to apply*

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • High school diploma or GED is required
  • 2 years (2.500 hours) of proven experience with children
  • Ability to obtain Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification
  • Ability to pass ALL background screening and obtain ALL required childcare clearances
  • Ability to complete Health & Safety Training and Mandatory Reporter Training within 90 days of hire


Other Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift, bend down, sit with students on the floor, stand, walk students to and from play-yard, act and react to keep students safe
  • An understanding of, and the ability to use, apps and technology for communication between teachers and parents
