Job description

If you are seeking an intern position and have a passion for social media, marketing, teamwork, and sports then USSSA is the place! USSSA is seeking social media interns who thrive in a fast-paced, energetic, collaborative culture. This position will join the marketing team and assist in social media and marketing.
The United States Specialty Sports Association (USSSA), headquartered in Melbourne, Florida is the world's largest multi-sport athletic organization. Our mission is to empower our team and its partners with an unsurpassed platform to create and support world-class athletic events and sports programming to enrich and educate the lives of participants at all levels. Founded in 1968, it has grown to over 4 million participants competing in 13 nationally sanctioned sports. We are a growing organization that in necessity must expand our National Event locations and workforce to accommodate the growing number of teams and athletes qualifying to participate.
Time Period
Unpaid Internship will span over 3 months (flexible)
Professional Requirements
  • Must be currently involved with an applicable field such as Business Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Sports Marketing, Media Relations, etc.
  • A candidate that has recently graduated or is currently enrolled in these related fields and seeking experience may also be selected.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours that mirror an event schedule.
  • Proficiency in Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, and other social media platforms.
  • General knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Canva, a plus.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring of various National USSSA social media platforms and communicating opportunities for engagement.
  • On-site social media coverage for events at USSSA Space Coast Complex
  • Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns
  • Assistance with day-to-day marketing operations within USSSA National sports (Baseball, Fastpitch, Slowpitch, Soccer, etc.)
  • Research current social media and marketing trends to contribute to the overall marketing team goals and objectives and other tasks as assigned .
