You are a professional who has an internal drive to investigate using your critical thinking skills assessing policy matters and can manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines. In the role, you will
  • Be a decision maker.
  • Focus on solving complex problems, while making timely, but thoughtful decisions to resolve client issues.
  • Analyze medical, financial, and other claim documents.
  • Have opportunities to meet with our customers in person.
  • Provide accurate claims decisions in a time sensitive and fast- paced environment, while adhering to all state and department of insurance regulations.

  • Work across business divisions including both internal and external partners.
  • Be a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • Work on department innovations.

You have
  • 5+ years insurance claim handling experience (Individual Disability Claims).
  • A college or university degree, or high school diploma with extensive prior relevant work experience Demonstrated understanding of claim management techniques and critical thinking requiring analysis and/or investigation.
  • Experience providing outstanding customer service.
  • Attention to detail with demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience prioritizing competing priorities with deadlines.
  • Negotiating skills, solution strategies and ability to apply appropriate resources.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Location
This position offers the opportunity to work remotely. While this position can be fully remote, the primary office location for this group is Pittsfield, MA. Occasional travel to meet business needs will be required.
Salary Range:
$80,610.00 - $132,435.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
