Job description

Job Responsibilities A part-time position to assist with volunteer training and retention activities in assigned regions, assist volunteers that are in assigned regions with Guardian ad Litem responsibilities and ongoing trainings, and provide Guardian ad Litem services for the state-wide Vulnerable Adult Guardian ad Litem program of South Carolina. This position will be based out of a remote office in the Lowcountry. Acts as a Guardian ad Litem to represent the best interests of the vulnerable adult.

Provide support to volunteers. Review new cases and assign case to the appropriate volunteer. Maintains data system for case files.

Attend staff meetings and ongoing trainings/ workshops for professional development. Assist with recruitment efforts to publicize volunteer opportunities and engage new volunteer Minimum and Additional Requirements A high school diploma or relevant program experience. Experience working with and empowering volunteers; knowledge of community resources available to older adults and persons with disabilities; interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with diverse groups, agencies, court staff, attorneys and community organization professionals; ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing; proficient in general computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets and database programs.

Additional Comments This position will be based out of a remote office in the Lowcountry.
