Job description

Overview

NV5 is a provider of professional and technical engineering, landscape architecture, and consulting solutions to public and private sector clients in the infrastructure, energy, construction, program management, and environmental markets. With ofces nationwide and abroad, NV5 helps clients plan, design, build, test, certify, and operate projects that improve the communities where we live and work.

We are looking for a Landscape Designer to support the Design group in design, plan production, graphics presentation, construction documentation, and construction administration. We work in a studio atmosphere where collaboration, flexibility, and self-motivation are important. 

Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the overall design team on projects that range in scale and complexity
  • Assist in the development of plans, details, technical specifications, studies, reports, and graphics
  • Assist with field work including site visits, construction inspections, and client meetings
  • Managing assigned project tasks to ensure expectations and project goals are met
Qualifications

Education, experience, licensure, and skills:

  • Bachelor or Master of Landscape Architecture degree from an accredited program
  • Actively pursuing licensure in Landscape Architecture
  • Strong computer and hand graphic skills as well as proficiency in software programs relevant to the industry including AutoCAD, Land-FX, Adobe, Creative Suite, 3D Modeling software like Sketch Up and Lumion, and Bluebeam
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Prioritization and time management skills
  • Enthusiasm for the profession and a willingness to learn on a variety of projects
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
