POSITION SUMMARY:
The Graphics Assistant I is responsible for supporting the marketing team in the development and implementation of visual design and marketing strategies that promote the organization's programs, events, and initiatives. This role creates compelling visual content, maintains brand consistency, and strengthens the organization's public image, while managing multiple projects at once.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
  • Strong graphic design and visual communication skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Design and Content Creation:
  • Design Program Guide using submitted program information, including marketing material promoting the program guide.
  • Ensure all visual content aligns with the organization's branding guidelines and YMCA's values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Marketing Campaigns:
  • Assist in developing and executing marketing campaigns across digital, print, social media platforms.
  • Assist in creating digital ads for various marketing campaigns.

Collaboration and Project Management:
  • Collaborate with the marketing department and program teams, as needed, to ensure marketing goals are met.
  • Manage design projects from concept to delivery, ensuring deadlines and budget constraints are met.
  • Maintain organized files and documentation for all design and marketing materials.

Brand Management:
  • Ensure consistency in all marketing communications and materials by adhering to the organization's brand guidelines.
  • Stay current on design trends and integrate new techniques into marketing strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a marketing, design, or related role.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) is required.
  • Comfortable working in a computer-based environment for extended periods, including standard office and digital communication tools.
  • Working knowledge of brand guidelines and the ability to apply them consistently across design and digital materials.
