We provide a variety of Professional and Training Services, Program and Mission Support, Procurement Support, and Logistics Services to support key government programs run by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), Department of State (DoS), federal civilian agencies, prime-contractors, and non-profit organizations (NGO).
Job Description
US21, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Government Sales Representative to be headquartered in Fairfax, VA. The successful candidate will have a strong background in sales of tactical gear, field medical and safety equipment and/or tactical communications equipment for government programs worldwide. A proven track record of successful sales and continuous growth is required. The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for the full life cycle of the sale from identification of leads, to preparing quotes and closing sales. A candidate with strong relationships and experience dealing directly with government agency decision makers is highly desired.
  • Take responsibility for the full-life cycle of sales to include: identify prospects, source products, prepare quotation, manage order status, and communicate status of orders with the customer
  • Prepare responses to RFQs for tactical and military gear, equipment, apparel, tactical/military communications equipment, safety and medical field equipment for US government customers.
  • Manage and grow named accounts, maximizing short term revenue, building future sales pipeline through demonstrated planning.
  • Respond to US government solicitations from various agency issued on Unison Marketplace or beta.sam.gov
  • Work with the bid development team and proposal writers for complex proposals
  • Engage in government auction bidding through Unison Marketplace and other tools to build a solid sales pipeline during the busy season.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify different products, solutions that may be presented to management
  • Report progress on leads/opportunities/order status to directors.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
  • ( Critical ) Knowledge and experience working in the same industry with full understanding of key manufacturers, leading contractors, government programs, and key military/federal customers.
  • 2+ years of experience working as a sales account manager / account executive
  • Proven relationship building skills that lead to account growth
  • Working knowledge of government auction bidding such as Unison Marketplace is a plus
  • Experience working on responses to RFP, RFQ, and RFI is highly desired.
  • Experience working with or managing federal government accounts a plus
  • Detail oriented with an emphasis on organizational skills, problem solving, and client communication
  • Proficiency in Outlook/Word/Excel/Adobe Acrobat is required.
  • Strong interpersonal telephone and written/electronic communications skills.
