Job description

Leads and manages all sales activities within the Government sector, ensuring alignment with company goals and compliance with public sector requirements.
Provides expert guidance, coaching, and support to internal stakeholders involved in government sales initiatives.
Collaborates with the VP of Sales to resolve issues related to product availability, contract compliance, and equipment performance.
Develops and maintains short- and long-term sales forecasts for the Government sector, leveraging planning skills and deep product knowledge.
Evaluates performance metrics across government accounts, provides actionable feedback, and supports continuous improvement efforts.
Delivers ongoing education and updates to ensure teams remain informed on evolving government programs and procurement policies.
Prepare detailed sales reports including volume, margins, and competitive analysis specific to the Government sector.
Communicates established goals, quotas, and strategic priorities across the organization to ensure coordinated execution.
Represents the company at government-focused trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote products and build relationships.
Plans and leads strategic meetings focused on Government sector sales performance, opportunities, and challenges.
Under general direction of the VP of Sales, manages government sales activities and business development for the Royal Truck & Equipment product line. This role focuses on developing and maintaining relationships with municipal, state, and federal agencies, ensuring alignment with procurement regulations and public sector requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Government Relationship Management:
    Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with government agencies, public works departments, transportation authorities, and other relevant entities.
  • Procurement & Contracting:
    Navigates government procurement processes including RFPs, RFQs, cooperative purchasing agreements, and GSA schedules. Assists in preparing bid responses and quotes. Ensures compliance with public sector contracting requirements.
  • Product Demonstration & Training:
    Coordinates and conducts product demonstrations tailored to government applications (e.g., safety vehicles, attenuators, traffic control). Trains agency personnel on product features, safety standards, and operational benefits.
  • Sales Enablement & Support:
    Provides technical and regulatory guidance to support government sales efforts. , coordinates delivery schedules, and sales allowances in accordance with agency expectations and contract terms.
  • Market Intelligence & Reporting:
    Monitors government funding trends, infrastructure legislation, and competitive activity. Provides regular updates to leadership on pipeline status, agency engagement, and strategic opportunities.
