Defense Sales Representative


Industry: Defense / Industrial Laser Technology / Government Sales


Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Defense Laser Systems Sales Representative to drive sales growth within the defense, aerospace, government, and military contractor sectors. This role is responsible for developing relationships with defense contractors, military procurement teams, shipyards, aerospace manufacturers, and federal agencies to promote advanced laser cleaning, marking, engraving, cutting, and surface preparation systems.

The ideal candidate has experience selling industrial equipment, defense technologies, capital equipment, or technical solutions into government or military-related markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans targeting defense and aerospace accounts
  • Identify and pursue opportunities with military bases, defense contractors, shipbuilding companies, and federal agencies
  • Promote industrial laser systems for rust removal, coatings removal, precision cleaning, engraving, and material processing applications
  • Build relationships with procurement officers, engineers, maintenance teams, and program managers
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through closing and post-sale support
  • Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and on-site evaluations
  • Coordinate with engineering and technical teams to develop customized laser solutions
  • Attend defense industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasting and CRM reporting
  • Stay informed on government procurement processes, defense industry trends, and competitor activity

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience in defense, industrial equipment, manufacturing technology, or capital equipment sales
  • Experience selling into defense contractors, aerospace, military, or government sectors preferred
  • Strong understanding of technical sales processes and solution-based selling
  • Proven ability to build long-term client relationships and close high-value deals
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Comfortable conducting live equipment demonstrations
  • Ability to travel as needed for customer visits and trade events
  • CRM experience preferred (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field preferred
