Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to support a short-term Contract assignment in Torrance, California. In this role, you will manage payroll processing for a small employee group working on a government project, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion each pay period. This position is expected to run for approximately two months and follows a regular business-hours schedule.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Process end-to-end payroll in QuickBooks for a small workforce assigned to a government project.
โ€ข Prepare and submit certified payroll records accurately and on schedule to meet project and regulatory requirements.
โ€ข Review payroll data for hours, earnings, deductions, and tax information to ensure precise payment processing.
โ€ข Maintain payroll documentation and supporting records in accordance with government contract standards.
โ€ข Coordinate with internal contacts to resolve payroll discrepancies, employee pay questions, and reporting issues.
โ€ข Support payroll compliance activities involving multi-state considerations when applicable.
โ€ข Generate payroll reports and provide updates on payroll status, submissions, and record accuracy.
