Job Description 

Job Title: Receptionist/Data Clerk  FLSA Status: Nonexempt  Reports To: Asst. Supt.    Work Location: Central Office    Work Schedule: 260 days    Position Summary  As Receptionist, this position is the welcoming face and voice of the school district and central office, serving as the first point of contact for visitors.  As Data Clerk, this position plays a key role in supporting business and HR operations by maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and providing timely data for decision-making and compliance. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, discretion, and technical proficiency, as well as strong communication and organizational skills.  Essential Duties & Responsibilities 
  • Greet visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Enters and maintains high volumes of data accurately into various data systems (accounting, HR, Food Service, etc.).
  • Assist with Accounts Payable duties (vouchers, receipts, payments, invoices, etc.).
  • Answer phone promptly, respond to inquiries and take messages.
  • Create/modify reports and spreadsheets and assembles data as requested.
  • Assist with filing, copying, organizing and other general office tasks.
  • Contribute to the daily operations, create a welcoming environment, and provide essential 

support to all members of the school community. 

  • Exercise good judgment and work effectively with all school personnel and visitors.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.  
Education/Experience Requirements 
  • Associate's degree or higher in preferred in a related area or a combination of experience, certification and training.
  • At least 2 years prior relatable experience in a school or business environment preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive required.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and process with frequent 

interruptions and resetting priorities. 

  • High degree of dependability and reliability.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities and skills.
  • History of excellent work attendance.
  • Ability to perform duties of a sensitive and confidential nature.
  • Time management and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Organizational skills and proficiency in oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate computers, copying machines and other office equipment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with school staff, students, parents and other visitors.
  • Ability to assume responsibility, display initiative and exercise good judgment.
  • Perform duties in a professional and personable manner. 
Other/Physical Requirements 
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time using a computer.
  • Ability to occasionally lift objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
