Job description

Receptionist High School Front Office
Position Purpose
This position is responsible for greeting and directing visitors.  This position also responds to inquiries from staff, the public, parents, students, etc.  by providing requested information and/or referral to other parties. 
Essential Job Functions





  • Monitors security cameras and communicate findings with the Administration.
  • Check in visitors to the building.
  • Covers the front doors for student dismissals between passing periods.
  • Covers the Main Office Receptionist duties in their absence.
  • Sorts all incoming interoffice mail and USPS mail.
  • Organizes deliveries from FedEx, UPS, Amazon, etc. and delivers items to classrooms.
  • Updates student addresses with proper documentation.
  • Greets all visitors in a kind and professional manner and directs them to their locations.
  • Troubleshoots concerns such as copier issues, teacher questions and disgruntled guests.
  • Makes passes and forms for use in the office, by teachers and other staff members.
  • Assist Guidance department and treasurer with mailings.
  • Process Attendance letters for the Guidance department.
  • Update staff mailboxes.
  • Assists with preparing graduation packets.
  • Assists with Administration offices as requested and needed and other duties as assigned.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.


Equipment
Use standard office equipment such as personal computers, printer, copier and fax machines, and telephone.
Travel Requirements
Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
Pay Rate
$15.61 per hour.
Work Schedule
8 hours per day
200 days per year
