Job Summary: As a Skip Trace & Property Researcher, you will be responsible for conducting skip tracing, client heir investigations research and skip tracing by telephone to locate property owners, heirs, descendants, corporate officers, partners, non-profit directors, and trustees in order to recover excess proceeds from foreclosure sales. You will utilize various online tools and databases, such as Ancestry.com, FamilyTree.org, Lexus Nexus, Westlaw, Idicore, social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Google, ChatGPT, and Instagram, as well as court records, to conduct thorough investigations and analyze information to locate and identify individuals and entities associated with unclaimed funds.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct genealogy research using Ancestry.com, FamilyTree.org, and other genealogy databases to identify potential heirs and descendants.
  • Perform skip tracing using Lexus Nexus, Westlaw, Idicore, and other skip tracing tools to locate property owners, corporate officers, partners, non-profit directors, trustees, and other relevant parties.
  • Utilize social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Google, ChatGPT, and Instagram to conduct searches and gather information on individuals and entities.
  • Analyze gathered information and perform investigative work to verify the accuracy and relevance of data.
  • Utilize court records to gather relevant information related to property ownership, legal entities, and other pertinent details.
  • Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and present them to the team and clients.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of research activities, findings, and progress.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to excess proceeds recovery, genealogy research, skip tracing, and social media searches.
  • Collaborate with other team members, clients, and stakeholders to achieve research goals and objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in genealogy research using Ancestry.com, FamilyTree.org, and other genealogy databases.
  • Strong experience in skip tracing using Lexus Nexus, Westlaw, Idicore, and other skip tracing tools.
  • Proficient in conducting social media searches using Facebook, LinkedIn, Google, ChatGPT, and Instagram.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret complex data.
  • Familiarity with court records and legal documents related to property ownership and legal entities.
  • Strong computer proficiency with the ability to effectively use online research tools, databases, and software applications.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Compensation consists of a monthly Base Salary - $2,000 and Progressive Incentive Plan equating to a (estimated $43,500.00-to $45,000.00 Total Annual Compensation Plan).
