Job description

Position:  Ecommerce Associate
Department:  Donated Goods Retail
Reports to:  Ecommerce Production Manager
Status:  Non-Exempt

Summary
Performs all functions associated with Goodwill Keystone Area’s participation in Shopgoodwill.com auction site from receipt of product, through posting on the net, to receipt and reconciliation of funds.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists Ecommerce Manager in monitoring product flow and production numbers placed on site. Ecommerce associates are expected to post in accordance with goals and productivity standards.
  •  Assists with functions associated with receiving items to include, but not limited to:
    • Maintains area for receipt of items; evaluates each item to maintain highest quality standards; posts items from description logs; assists in developing description for each item; photographs items on a continual basis; stores and inventories each item.
  • Assists, when needed, to perform basic data entry; entering descriptions of items into database; download photographs.
  • Assists in monitoring website for required daily data to include, but not be limited to:  
    • Handles and replies all customer e-mails in a timely fashion; represents Goodwill Keystone Area in a positive manner by handling customer inquiries impartially and fairly.
  • Performs shipping duties to include, but not be limited to:  
    • Pulls orders; package items according to shipping guidelines; follows through on shipment tracking as needed; track all expenses associated with shipping and handling.
  • Attends meetings and training programs as required.
  • Cleans and maintain area daily. 
  • Promote and represent Goodwill Keystone Area and its mission in a positive manner at all times through exceptional internal and external customer service.
  • Promotes an environment of workplace safety. Assures that duties are performed in a safe manner and safety requirements are adhered to. 
  • Communicates progress, problems, and concerns to the Ecommerce Production Manager.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Skills/Abilities/Qualifications

  • Knowledge of computer, antiques, and collectables helpful.  

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and crouch.  
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push and pull palletized containers with a manual pallet jack requiring a force of 40 pounds a distance of 50 feet for 25% of the shift.
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds from ground level to waist level occasionally for more than 75% of the shift.
  • Ability to repeatedly bend forward or to the side 60 degrees from a seated position to remove or place items into various containers once every 30 seconds for more than 75% of the shift.
  • Ability to sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time for more than 75% of the shift.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions every few seconds associated with keyboard and mouse use more than 75% of the shift.
