Job Summary

The North America Global Mobility Manager is responsible for managing mobility programs across the United States, Mexico and Canada, ensuring the successful delivery of domestic and international assignment, relocation, immigration, tax, and compliance services. This role serves as a strategic partner to HR, Talent Acquisition, business leaders, and external vendors, while ensuring compliance, cost effectiveness, and an exceptional employee experience.

The successful candidate will oversee end-to-end mobility operations, provide guidance on complex mobility matters and support business growth through innovative mobility solutions.

Work closely and collaboratively within the Regional Mobility model, reporting into the Global Mobility Director.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide global mobility expertise and advice to NA colleagues on globally mobile employees including international assignments & business travellers, to support compliance, adherence to policy and minimisation of risk.
  • Proactively support assignment and business travel planning, identifying potential issues and possible solutions in advance, as well as opportunities to minimise assignment costs.
  • Responsible for US immigration, with reference to assignments and potential support on domestic cases. Facilitated by working with immigration lawyer, to ensure highest standards of quality, compliance and timeliness.
  • Manage agreed annual processes to ensure timely and efficient delivery of key expat activities (e.g. salary review, tax year ends, incentive releases etc.)
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders across the organization and serve as technical advisor to the business on North America compliance, policy, planning, tax/tax-equalization, social security immigration and administrative requirements and timelines.
  • Leverage expertise to follow processes with internal stakeholders (including corporate tax, HR, payroll, export control, finance, travel) and third-party vendors (including immigration, tax, relocation, medical insurance), including cost projection calculations, tax impact assessment and compliance requirements analysis.
  • Work with domestic US payroll team to manage US International payroll requirements and tax compliance process, including liaison with external vendors for wage and tax calculations/gross-ups and payroll upload.
  • Manage international business traveller activity to the region.
  • Use strong understanding and knowledge to provide guidance on North America requirements and compliance.
  • Actively participate in Mobility process development and systems selection, upgrades and updates. Find innovative solutions to Mobility requirements and sourcing needs.
  • Stay abreast of updates in Global Mobility compliance and trends. Regularly participate in conferences, roundtables and other educational opportunities.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant Global Mobility experience with a multinational corporation
  • Strong knowledge of globally mobile employee considerations, including tax, immigration and payroll.
  • SAP Success Factors experience
  • Strong diplomatic and empathetic skills as well as excellent relationship development and customer service skills.
  • Motivated self-starterwith the ability to operate effectively in afast-paced environment with quickly changing business needs
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal/external, international/domestic contacts.
  • Flexible and pragmatic approach to problem solving
  • Able to travel within the US region as required by the Position as well as incidentally internationally.
  • Must be a U.S. Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance requirements
