As Director, Global Mobility & Immigration, you will lead the strategy, operations, and evolution of Snowflake's global mobility and immigration programs. You will partner closely with People, Talent Acquisition, Legal, Tax, Finance, and business leaders to develop scalable solutions that support workforce growth, international hiring, employee mobility, and business expansion.
This leader will play a key role in scaling Snowflake's global workforce by building programs that enable business growth while balancing employee experience, operational excellence, and compliance.
This role requires a leader who can balance strategic thinking with operational excellence-building scalable programs while remaining closely connected to the day-to-day realities of supporting a global workforce.
At Snowflake, we embrace AI as a force multiplier for how we work. We are seeking a forward-thinking leader who leverages AI-powered tools, automation, analytics, and emerging technologies to improve decision-making, increase operational efficiency, enhance the employee experience, and scale global programs. The ideal candidate is curious, adaptable, and excited to incorporate AI into everyday work to solve complex business challenges and drive meaningful outcomes.
As a Director, Global Mobility & Immigration at Snowflake, You Will:
Strategy & Business Partnership
  • Define and execute Snowflake's global mobility and immigration strategy, aligning programs with business growth, workforce planning, international hiring, employee mobility, and talent acquisition objectives.
  • Own the strategic selection, governance, and optimization of the global vendor ecosystem (Immigration, Tax, and Relocation Management Companies), including leading major RFPs and transition management to drive cost efficiency and service scalability.
  • Lead the mobility architecture for new entity setups, corporate acquisitions, and cross-border equity compliance, ensuring seamless operational readiness from day one.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to People leadership and key stakeholders on workforce mobility, international expansion, organizational changes, and emerging mobility trends.
  • Partner with leaders across People, Legal, Tax, Finance, and Talent Acquisition to align mobility programs with evolving business needs.
  • Assess mobility implications related to international expansion, organizational changes, acquisitions, and emerging workforce models.
  • Develop scalable solutions that balance employee experience, compliance, operational efficiency, and business objectives.
Technology, Analytics & Continuous Improvement
  • Champion the use of technology, automation, AI, and data-driven insights to modernize mobility and immigration programs.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve scalability, and enhance service delivery through innovative solutions.
  • Develop reporting and dashboards that provide visibility into program performance, costs, service levels, and workforce trends.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement and informed decision-making.
Required Qualifications
  • 15+ years of experience leading global mobility, immigration, or international workforce programs within multinational organizations, including a minimum of 3+ years in a second-line management role with direct oversight of global mobility, immigration, or international workforce strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience of repositioning mobility as a function that actively drives commercially important outcomes like offer-acceptance, retention, and location strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage technology, automation, AI, and data-driven insights to improve operational effectiveness, scale programs, and drive better business outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of global mobility tax, social security, payroll, and compliance considerations, including their impact on program design, governance, and vendor management.
  • Experience developing and scaling global programs in a high-growth or complex business environment.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and leading cross-functional initiatives across People, Legal, Tax, Finance, and Talent Acquisition.
  • Strong track record of driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, organizational change, and scalable operating models.
Preferred Qualifications
