Overview
The Gift Card & Marketing Analyst is responsible for managing and optimizing the company's gift card program to drive sales, increase guest loyalty, and support marketing initiatives across all restaurant brands. This role analyzes gift card performance, manages promotional campaigns, coordinates with internal departments and third-party vendors, and provides data-driven recommendations to maximize revenue and guest engagement. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about leveraging data to improve marketing performance.
Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze gift card sales, redemptions, breakage, and promotional performance across all restaurant locations and brands.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports tracking key gift card metrics, trends, and ROI.
  • Partner with Marketing to execute seasonal, holiday, and promotional gift card campaigns.
  • Coordinate digital and physical gift card programs with third-party providers and POS vendors.
  • Forecast gift card sales and redemption activity to support financial planning.
  • Identify opportunities to grow gift card revenue through targeted promotions and partnerships.
  • Ensure accurate setup of promotions, discounts, and bonus card offers within POS and gift card platforms.
  • Reconcile gift card transactions and investigate discrepancies with Finance and Operations.
  • Monitor fraud activity and recommend controls to reduce financial risk.
  • Support new restaurant openings with gift card program implementation.
  • Collaborate with IT, Accounting, Operations, and Marketing to resolve gift card-related issues.
  • Analyze guest purchasing behavior and recommend marketing strategies to improve repeat business.
  • Prepare executive reports highlighting program performance, trends, and recommendations.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and evaluate new gift card technologies and promotional opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and state regulations regarding gift card liabilities.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, Analytics, or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in marketing analytics, loyalty programs, gift card management, retail, or restaurant operations.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency.
  • Experience with POS systems and gift card platforms preferred.
  • Knowledge of reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence software.
  • Experience working with CRM or loyalty platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-unit restaurant environment.
