Job Title: Detail Manager

Location: Eide Chrysler St Cloud
Reports To: Service Managerย 

Job Summary

The Detail Manager is responsible for overseeing all vehicle appearance operations at the dealership, ensuring every new and pre-owned vehicle meets brand standards for cleanliness, presentation, and delivery readiness. This role manages the detailing team, coordinates workflow with sales and service departments, and maintains high-quality standards while controlling costs and turnaround times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of the detailing department, including scheduling, workflow, and staffing

  • Ensure all new vehicles are properly prepped for delivery, display, and customer handoff

  • Oversee detailing of pre-owned vehicles to meet dealership and manufacturer standards

  • Inspect completed vehicles for quality, consistency, and attention to detail

  • Hire, train, coach, and supervise detail technicians

  • Maintain department productivity while meeting delivery deadlines

  • Coordinate closely with Sales, Service, and Inventory teams to prioritize work

  • Manage inventory of detailing supplies, chemicals, and equipment

  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and dealership policies

  • Address reconditioning issues, customer concerns, and quality improvements

  • Monitor costs, control waste, and recommend process improvements

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in automotive detailing required

  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred

  • Strong knowledge of detailing processes, products, and equipment

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • High standards for quality and attention to detail

  • Valid driverโ€™s license with a clean driving record

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends

Physical Requirements
