The Director, Ventures will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and executing venturing deals in areas of strategic interest to GE Vernova. S/he will also be responsible for working with the GE Vernova businesses to share market insights and identify key value drivers with startups for potential collaborations.

Position Requirements
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree. A minimum 10 years of professional experience.
  • ~5 years of deal-making experience
  • Venturing experience
  • Expertise negotiating and closing deals with startups and other VCs
  • Proven ability to identify technology and team growth potential
Desired Characteristics
  • MBA and/or PhD preferred
  • Board experience
  • Experience working both in a large, matrixed organization
  • Experience in working in the energy sector, in particular with dispatchable power
  • Entrepreneurial nature with a passion for bringing technology to market
  • Expertise advising startups and managing a startup portfolio

Please note that we are targeting for the selected candidate to start in this role in early April 2025.

The base salary range for this position is $155,000 to $205,000 USD. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidateโ€™s experience. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a discretionary annual target bonus.
