Description
The Accounts Payable & Pricing Specialist role requires a highly motivated candidate with strong attention to detail and knowledge of pricing and accounting practices, as well as excellent technology, communication, and customer service skills. This is a fast-paced work environment, so the ideal candidate must be organized, self-motivated, and able to work well under pressure.
Primary responsibilities include providing pricing information to clients and account executives, processing contractor and vendor invoices, responding to payment inquiries, researching outstanding statements, tracking vendor costs, and providing financial, administrative, and clerical support, as well as delivering impeccable customer service to clients and contractors.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE & PRICING SPECIALIST ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Generate and provide rate sheets and pricing estimates to clients prior to job dates.
  • Evaluate and prepare custom pricing arrangements when applicable.
  • Reconcile contractor and vendor invoices against biweekly and monthly payroll records.
  • Research and respond to contractor and vendor inquiries regarding payment schedules, disputes, payment status, and other payment-related questions.
  • Maintain timely and professional communication with clients and contractors.
  • Perform credit card and payroll reconciliations.
  • Process resource payment information, including direct deposit and W-9 forms.
  • Track and perform market analysis related to vendor and contractor costs.
  • Maintain and update accurate pricing and payroll records within software systems and repositories.
  • Provide financial, administrative, and clerical support to the finance team.
  • Assist supervisors, managers, and executives with special projects, as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting, billing, and/or financial services environment, preferably within the legal services industry.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment, along with impeccable customer service skills, is required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, as well as sound judgment, are essential.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is required.
  • A willingness to learn the processes and protocols of multiple departments is necessary.
  • Must be able to work in a professional, fast-paced, and confidential environment.
