Position Responsibilities
The Payroll Service team process payroll tax payments at various intervals for over 600 customers in all 50 states throughout the year. Each client's account must be reconciled regularly to ensure that the tax debits and credits are in balance. The position would assist the Payroll Service Accounting team in the reconciliation of client accounts. The intern will rely on several data points to gather payment records and put together reconciliation templates to ensure accuracy within payroll processing and tax payments.
This is a remote based internship, working 30 plus hours per week.
Other duties include:

• Increase reconciliation efficiency by reviewing current practices and looking for repeatable steps that can be automated
• Work with other Payroll Service team members to gather information about client tax accounts.
• Report weekly to the Accounting and Tax teams on progress of reconciliation.

If necessary, communicate with clients to obtain tax information related to reconciliations.
Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a 4-year university/college
• Focus in accounting or finance/business preferred
• GPA 3.0 or higher
• Strong written and oral communications
• Works effectively with minimal supervision and remotely from home

Must be able to work 30 plus hours per week for 8 -10 week internship
