MOET Law Group is seeking an experienced Lien Negotiator to join our plaintiff-side personal injury law firm in Irvine, CA. This full-time, in-person role is critical to the post-settlement phase of personal injury cases and serves as the primary point of contact for clients after their case has been resolved.
This position is ideal for candidates with prior lien negotiation experience or a strong accounting/bookkeeping background who are detail-oriented and comfortable negotiating with medical providers, lienholders, and government agencies.
Salary Range: $20 $25 per hour
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary client point of contact following case resolution
  • Review outstanding medical bills and liens and develop settlement action plans
  • Prepare justification and documentation to support lien reduction requests
  • Communicate with medical providers and lienholders to obtain final balances
  • Negotiate lien reductions on behalf of clients
  • Handle statutory liens, including Medi-Cal and Medicare
  • Draft final client closing documents and settlement/disbursement statements
  • Issue provider payments and client settlement checks
  • Maintain accurate records related to settlements, liens, and disbursements
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in lien negotiations OR accounting/bookkeeping (required)
  • Experience working in a personal injury law firm strongly preferred
  • Strong reasoning, organizational, and time management skills
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally via phone and email
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines efficiently
