Manufacturing Engineer - Quality 61 Barnes Industrial Park North, Wallingford, CT 06492 CT180 Manufacturing Facility Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 4:30pm OVERVIEW: Working as Full-time Manufacturing Engineer - Quality, you will support the facility by working closely with all departments to promote the production of conforming products and assist in the continuous improvement of the quality management system. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals. RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: o Performing internal audits o Communicating with customers to resolve issues in a timely manner o Supporting product quality planning activities and establishing inspection methods o Leading or participating in corrective action activities addressing defects and nonconformances o Providing effective recommendations for the improvement of operational methods to reduce manufacturing costs and improving product quality o Promoting and implementing continuous improvement programs REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o Possess or are working towards a bachelor's degree in Engineering o Excellent written and oral communication skills o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite o Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills o Exhibit strong orientation toward continuous improvement o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment o Work independently as well as in a team environment o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Prior experiencing working in an ISO 9001or AS9100 environment o Experience with inspection tools and equipment o Experience reading blueprints and product specifications o A strong knowledge of PPAP's and AIAG Core Tools ABOUT US: Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
