This full-time role is primarily remote, incorporating telehealth methodologies to deliver counseling services. • Conduct thorough intake assessments and screenings to evaluate the unique mental health needs of students, creating personalized and actionable treatment plans.
• Provide timely individual counseling sessions and crisis intervention services for students presenting with a wide range of psychological concerns, including anxiety, depression, adjustment issues, and trauma.
• Facilitate engaging therapy groups and wellness workshops on pertinent topics such as stress management, coping strategies, and interpersonal skills, encouraging peer support and personal development.
• Collaborate effectively with academic advisors, faculty, and student organizations to build a robust support system tailored to student needs, enhancing campus-wide mental health initiatives.
• Engage in outreach and prevention programs, such as mental health awareness campaigns and wellness events, to foster community engagement and de-stigmatize mental health issues among the student body.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of all client interactions, ensuring compliance with ethical and legal standards in all documentation and reporting practices.

As a licensed mental health counselor, you will primarily work with college students, a population facing unique challenges such as academic pressure, social transitions, and identity development. Understanding their specific mental health concerns is essential to tailor effective interventions that resonate with their experiences.

• Possess an active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Psychologist.
• Hold a Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field from an accredited institution.
• Exhibit proficient interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to form trusting relationships with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Showcase a deep understanding of the challenges and mental health issues typical among college students, allowing for compassionate and informed interventions.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and brief therapy techniques suited for a university counseling center is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment while managing a diverse caseload of clients.

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience providing counseling or therapy services, particularly in educational or college settings.
• Experience with crisis management and intervention strategies tailored to students in distress.
• Ability to engage in professional development activities, including attendance at workshops and conferences to enhance clinical skills.
