About the Role
We are seeking a legally trained Legal Operations & Compliance Specialist to support our legal and compliance function. You will work directly with Shobhan (Legal Lead) on contract review, compliance research, regulatory filings, legal documentation, and workflow management.
This is not a purely administrative role. You will review commercial agreements, identify and summarize risks, suggest edits using established templates, conduct legal and compliance research, and help maintain the operational systems that support a growing healthcare organization.
Success in this role requires strong legal fundamentals, excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly in a fast-moving remote environment.
You will help us:
- Review and organize commercial contracts and legal documents
- Track regulatory deadlines, registrations, and compliance obligations
- Research legal and compliance questions and summarize findings
- Maintain internal policy and compliance trackers
- Ensure legal and operational tasks are completed accurately and on time
Key Responsibilities
- Perform first-pass review of NDAs, MSAs, vendor agreements, SaaS agreements, and other commercial contracts
- Identify key legal, commercial, and compliance risks and summarize findings for decision-makers
- Suggest edits and redlines based on approved templates and guidance
- Compare contract versions and highlight meaningful changes
- Maintain contract trackers, renewal schedules, and key deadlines
- Assist with regulatory filings, registrations, and annual reporting requirements
- Monitor relevant healthcare, corporate, and compliance developments and summarize impacts
- Conduct legal research across corporate, commercial, healthcare, and regulatory topics
- Attend meetings, document action items, and track follow-through
- Organize due diligence materials, legal records, and compliance documentation
What Weโ€™re Looking For
- Law degree (LLB or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- 2โ€“5 years of experience in contract review, legal research, compliance, or legal operations
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills
- Ability to spot issues and explain them clearly and concisely
- Highly organized and responsive, with excellent attention to detail
- Reliable remote work setup with high-speed internet
- Backup power and backup internet solution available during outages
- Ability to work primarily during EST business hours
- Comfortable working independently within a structured remote workflow
Preferred
- Experience working with US clients, law firms, or regulated businesses
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations, patient privacy requirements, or SaaS agreements
- Prior in-house legal, compliance, paralegal, or legal operations experience
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, Slack, and document management systems
Application Process
All applicants will complete:
- A short application questionnaire
- A brief legal/compliance exercise
- A video interview with the recruitment team
- A final interview with Shobhan (Legal Lead)
We review applications carefully and prioritize candidates who demonstrate strong legal reasoning, attention to detail, operational discipline, sound judgment, and clear communication.
