Summary

Position will be hybrid. Must reside in Wenatchee Washington.

The Healthcare Data Analyst I designs and executes the analytics for a variety of project types. Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, the Healthcare Data Analyst promotes using data in appropriate ways to achieve improvements in health care, set improvement goals, measure, and track the success of the project or initiative. This position ensures projects are completed on time and in ways that are clinically, scientifically, and statistically sound.

Position Reports To: Analytics Program Manager


Essential Functions
  1. Collaborate with Analytics leadership and others to develop goals, standards, and other activities aimed at ensuring the delivery of reliable and actionable data reports, dashboards, and products for internal and external customers.
  2. Develop processes using analytic tools to produce accurate and timely completion of analytic solutions. Assists in identifying issues or problems in carrying out performance measurement initiative protocols and recommends changes to streamline and improve the quality of data management and collection.
  3. Partner with peers to establish, evaluate, and continually improve measurement methodologies, while adhering to accepted analytic and reporting standards.
  4. Act as a subject matter expert for both internal and external audiences in area of analytic expertise.
  5. Adhere to all internal quality control processes for programming, visualization and reporting to maintain data integrity, and contribute to the improvement of processes.
  6. Possess a strong conceptual and analytical skill set with an ability to interpret complex data sets. Apply statistical techniques and effectively communicate methods and findings to non-analytical team members and audiences.
  7. Conduct periodic testing of data validity, identifying and resolving any errors or discrepancies.
  8. Work with operations to resolve any data discrepancy related to user input, user error, or poor source system design.
  9. Evaluate data and reports to assess if reporting meets end user requirements. Gather and compile documentation of metrics and data sources to facilitate replication.
  10. Summarize complex and multi-part analyses for end users.
  11. Partner in performance improvement initiatives to combine a variety of data sources into useful datasets and dashboards for monitoring project goals and tracking improvement progress.
  12. Develop standardized and ad hoc reports by using internal and external data to report status updates, and performance based on defined metrics for on-going projects.
  13. Work closely with Information Technology teams during upgrades to test and validate system readiness.
  14. Identifies opportunities to automate processes for optimization and increased efficiency.
  15. Other duties as assigned.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree OR 3 years of relevant job experience.
  • Proficient with data analysis, ensuring quality and consistency with data solutions.
  • 1 or more years of experience in data analysis as well as demonstrated knowledge of health care or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.

Desired:

  • Familiarity with data mining techniques leveraging SQL and relational databases.
  • Familiarity with PowerBI as a visualization tool.
  • Certification in Epic Cogito Fundamentals, or other relevant Epic certifications.
