Business Office Manager

Health Center at Bloomingdale, is seeking a full time Business Office Manager to work in a great long-term care facility environment. We provide a wide range of nursing care and rehabilitation services for both short-term and long-term care.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Accounts payable, accounts receivable, petty cash, resident funds and cash receipts

  • Process Management of Deposits

  • Verify all billing and financial data for new admissions

  • Private Pay Collections

  • Medicaid Application Assistance

  • Payment Processing

  • Accounts Receivable Monitoring and Analysis

  • Refund Processing

  • Management, Control and Reconciliation of the Residents Needs Account

  • Complete required documentation and paperwork for Department of Social Services.

  • Attends Medicaid Appointments as necessary

  • Overall functions and control within the business office

Position Requirements:

  • Knowledge of health care revenue cycle management experience, preferably in the long-term care industry

  • Knowledge of health care billing requirements and accounts receivable management

  • Strong communication and analytic skills

  • Ability to multi-task, handle multiple priorities, and to work independently

Qualifications:

  • Current knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations that apply to financial practices in long term care

  • Must have working knowledge of Medicare and Medicare billing

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills; oral and written communication skills.

  • Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations.

  • Requires 1 to 3 years bookkeeping and administrative experience. Requires working knowledge of financial statements and automated financial software.

  • Knowledge of accounting procedures to maintain petty cash, resident fund, accounts payables and receivables.

  • Minimum 1- 3 years’ experience in medical billing/collections

Experience:

Medicare and Medicaid: 1 year

Medical billing and collections: 1 years

Software:

Stampli (Accounts Payable Processing), Outlook, Word, Excel.
