RiverView Health operates a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital, RiverView Recovery Center; a chemical dependency outpatient treatment program, RiverView Home Care and five primary care and specialty clinics in the hospitals service area. Responsibilities Registered Nurse (RN) - Inpatient Unit-Specialize in OB or ED Position Status: .9 fte (72 hours per pay period) - rotational days and nights (12-hour shifts). Department: Inpatient Unit Salary Range: $36.73 - $51.43 / per hour (based on experience) New grads are encouraged to apply! Qualifications: The Labor and Delivery and/or Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. The RN assesses, triages, and treats patients with a wide range of medical conditions, ensuring timely and effective care in collaboration with the healthcare team. Essential Functions:
  • Patient Assessment and Triage - Perform rapid assessment and triage based on patient acuity..
  • Direct Patient Care - Develop and implement care plans based on patient condition and medical protocols. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician. Provide wound care, start IV lines, and monitor patient response.
  • Emergency Intervention - Respond to life-threatening emergencies such as cardiac arrest, respiratory distress, and trauma.
  • Documentation and Reporting - Accurately document patient care and outcomes in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Demonstrate compliance with all regulatory standards, infection prevention, and patient safety protocols.
  • Communication and Collaboration - Communicate effectively with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare team members. Provide patient education on care plans, discharge instructions, and medications.
  • Patient Advocacy and Safety - Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes appropriately.
  • Technical and Procedural Skills - Perform procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, blood draws, and wound care.
  • Emotional and Crisis Support - Provide emotional support to patients and families during traumatic events. Maintain professionalism and composure in high-stress situations.
Qualifications Minimum(s):
  • Current State of Minnesota RN license is required
  • Current American Heart BLS certification. If not currently certified, training will be provided and certification must be obtained within 4 months of date of hire
  • Current American Heart ACLS certification is required. If not ACLS certified, we will train within the first year
Preferred(s):
  • 1+ year(s) of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
  • 1+ year(s) of ICU or ER experience
  • 1+ year(s) of Medical-Surgical experience
