Job description

ProHealth Partners is an established multi-specialty physician group and has been providing care to patients over the last 30 years. Our network includes over 250+ physicians in over 100+ clinics throughout the greater Long Beach, Los Angeles, Orange County, and Inland Empire areas.

We currently have an opening for a Front Office Medical Assistant. Experience in Rheumatology preferred.

Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Pay: $23.00-25.00 per hour

Hours: Mon-Fri, 8-hour shifts


Front Office Duties:

The Front Office Medical Assistant in our rheumatology clinic supports daily administrative operations and ensures a smooth patient experience by greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing provider calendars. Responsibilities include verifying and updating patient demographics and insurance, obtaining authorizations and referrals, collecting co-pays, and maintaining accurate records in the electronic health system. This role also involves handling patient inquiries, coordinating with clinical staff, managing medical records requests, and maintaining HIPAA compliance while contributing to an organized, efficient, and patient-focused front office environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in a front office or medical administrative role, preferably in a specialty clinic such as rheumatology, with a strong understanding of patient intake and clinic workflow. Bilingual Spanish is required to effectively communicate with our diverse patient population. The successful candidate will have proven experience with insurance eligibility verification, prior authorizations, and referral coordination, along with strong organizational and customer service skills. Attention to detail, accuracy in maintaining patient records, and the ability to manage scheduling and high call volumes in a fast-paced environment are essential, while consistently providing professional, patient-centered service.
