McKesson is hiring Central Fill Pharmacy Technicians to support high-volume, automated prescription fulfillment operations in Jeffersonville, Indiana. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced, regulated pharmacy environment preparing, packaging, and distributing medications using advanced pharmacy automation and barcode-driven systems. 
As a Prescription Fulfillment Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring medication accuracy, patient safety, and compliance with pharmacy regulations while contributing to McKesson’s mission of improving healthcare outcomes for patients nationwide. 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, package, and distribute prescription medications using automated pharmacy systems 

  • Accurately fill and verify prescriptions in accordance with pharmacy and regulatory standards 

  • Stock automated dispensing cells and manage inventory using barcode scanning technology 

  • Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, pharmacy laws, and internal safety protocols 

  • Monitor prescription accuracy to support patient safety and quality standards 

  • Support daily production and fulfillment goals in a high-volume central fill environment 

  • Collaborate with pharmacy team members to ensure efficient workflow and on-time order delivery 

Shift Schedule & Pay:
2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–11:00 PM + every 3rd Saturday, 12:00 PM–8:30 PM | $19.95/hour

Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED 

  • Active Indiana Pharmacy Technician License or Indiana Pharmacy Technician In-Training License 

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in pharmacy, healthcare operations, or a related regulated environment 

Preferred Skills / Experience:

  • PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) Certification 

  • 1+ year of experience as a Pharmacy Technician in retail, central fill, mail order, or hospital pharmacy 

  • Experience working in automated, high-volume pharmacy or healthcare logistics environments 

  • Strong computer skills, including pharmacy systems or inventory management software 

  • Prior experience with barcode scanning, order fulfillment, or warehouse operations 

Work Environment, Physical & In-Office Requirements:

  • On-site role in a centralized pharmacy fulfillment facility 

  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8+ hours per shift 

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds 

  • Frequent bending, twisting, reaching, and repetitive motion required 

  • Fast-paced, production-driven healthcare environment
