Supply Technician PART-TIME
Job Summary
The Supply TechnicianPart-Time will support our government customer handling supply, warehouse, and inventory management operations in a VA hospital setting. This position plays a critical role inmaintaininginventory accuracy, supportinglogisticsoperations, and delivering high-quality customer service.Supply Technicians perform a range of inventory control and distribution tasks using Government-approved systems and established workflows, ensuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Functions and Responsibilities
  • Perform barcode scanning, inventory tracking, and replenishment of stock to authorized levels.
  • Conduct routine and periodic inventory counts;identify, research, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor productexpirationdates and support recall processesin accordance withGovernmentprocedures.
  • Implement proper stock rotation practices,
  • Provide delivery support, including transporting supplies todesignatedlocations.
  • Perform specialty cart checks and restocking asrequired.
  • Deliver responsive and professional customer service to Government personnel and end users.
  • Accurately document inventory transactions in systems such asVISTA/GIPand other Government-approved platforms (upon completion of required training and system access).
  • Maintain clean, organized, and secure storage areas in compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Adhere to allOSHA,HAZMAT, and site-specific safety protocols.

Education and Experience
Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply, warehouse, or inventory management.
  • Proficiency and fluency in the English language (written and verbal).
  • Proficiency with inventory management systems/software and workflows.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and comply with Government procedures and PWS requirements.

Preferred
  • Experience supporting Federal or healthcare logistics environments.
  • Familiarity with Government inventory systems such as VISTA/GIP.
  • Experience with barcode scanning technology and automated inventory systems.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to push up to 100 lbs. using carts or similar conveyance.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment, as applicable.

Compliance Requirements
  • Must comply with all safety and HAZMAT handling requirements.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain required Government system access and training.
  • Ability to pass background checks and meet contract-specific requirements, as applicable.
