Description:

The AP & Credit Card Manager is responsible for leading high-volume Accounts Payable and Corporate Credit Card operations across a diverse portfolio of entities. This role ensures the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of transactional processes while maintaining compliance with GAAP, internal policies, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong process improvement experience, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for building efficient financial operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Accounts Payable and Corporate Credit Card functions, providing day-to-day management, coaching, and performance oversight
  • Oversee invoice processing, payment administration, and corporate credit card operations
  • Manage the full corporate card lifecycle, including applications, renewals, modifications, cancellations, and policy compliance
  • Maintain accurate cardholder records, spending limits, and vendor relationships
  • Ensure seamless integration between AP, credit card, and accounting systems, resolving discrepancies as needed
  • Monitor and optimize transactional workflows to improve efficiency, scalability, and compliance
  • Conduct audits of corporate card activity, investigate policy violations, and address improper usage or delinquency issues
  • Oversee vendor spend reporting and ensure 1099 compliance
  • Support month-end close activities, including AP accruals, credit card reconciliations, and balance sheet integrity
  • Assist with annual audits by providing supporting documentation and analysis
  • Develop and deliver training for cardholders and approvers regarding policies and procedures
  • Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to monitor KPIs and improve operational performance
Requirements:

**MUST be located within a commutable distance to Columbia, Missouri**

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting preferred; CPA or advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years of accounting or finance experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial controls
  • Experience managing high-volume Accounts Payable operations and corporate credit card programs
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, or similar platforms
  • Experience with AP automation tools and spend management platforms preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proven leadership skills with a collaborative management style
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and attention to detail
