Director of Operations

North Dakota - Conduct quarterly visits to operational sites across the North Region (ND, WY, CO, PA)

$150,000–$200,000 + 25% annual bonus

We are seeking a Director of Operations to oversee and drive administrative and operational activities across a regional division. This role combines strategic leadership with operational management, ensuring high performance, operational efficiency, safety compliance, and strong customer relationships while maximizing profitability and growth.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience leading teams in fast-paced operational environments, with a strong focus on budget management, process improvement, employee development, and operational excellence across multiple sites. This role will involve quarterly visits to sites across the North Region (ND, WY, CO, PA).

This role is ideal for candidates with experience in industrial services, heavy equipment operations, field service management, or energy and infrastructure-related operational environments.

 

Director of Operations / Operations Manager / Regional Operations Lead Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate all operational and administrative activities across the division
  • Manage a team of 60 employees
  • Manage budgets, costs, and capital to deliver profitability targets
  • Develop and sustain customer relationships, supporting business growth
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, regulations, and company standards
  • Coach, develop, and manage staff performance, including hiring, promotions, and disciplinary actions
  • Monitor operational KPIs and implement process improvements to drive efficiency
  • Approve and implement maintenance, repair, and safety procedures
  • Support high-level problem solving, risk management, and operational decision-making
  • Foster a positive work environment, collaboration, and effective communication
  • Conduct quarterly visits to operational sites across the North Region (ND, WY, CO, PA)

 

Director of Operations / Operations Manager / Regional Operations Lead Requirements:

  • Previous experience in operational leadership, including Director, Operations Manager, or similar roles
  • Experience managing operations in industrial services, heavy equipment, field service, or infrastructure environments
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant operational experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and capital
  • Proven leadership skills with experience coaching, mentoring, and developing teams
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments and manage multiple priorities
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field preferred
