Summary:
The ideal candidate is a seasoned network security professional with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in implementing and managing Fortinet solutions. They hold at least an NSE 4 certification, with NSE 5 or higher preferred, demonstrating their expertise in configuring firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security.
This individual excels in problem-solving, communication, and client support, ensuring optimal security system performance while adhering to industry best practices. They are proactive, detail-oriented, and skilled in both independent tasks and collaborative team environments. You must reside in NYC to qualify for position.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implementation: Develop and implement Fortinet security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security systems, tailored to meet client requirements.
  • Configuration and Maintenance: Configure and maintain Fortinet devices and services, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
  • Security Monitoring and Incident Response: Monitor security systems, identify potential threats, and respond to security incidents promptly and effectively.
  • Client Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support to clients, resolving issues related to Fortinet products and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of security configurations, changes, and incidents. Generate reports on security metrics and incident responses.
  • Training and Knowledge Sharing: Conduct training sessions for clients and internal teams on Fortinet products and best practices in network security.

Qualifications:
  • Certification: Fortinet NSE 4 (minimum). NSE 5, NSE 6, or higher certifications are highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in network security and Fortinet product implementation and management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in configuring and managing Fortinet firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, and related technologies.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex security issues.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
