Job Description:
The Cloud Network Engineer joins a team responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting Azure networking solutions that enable secure, scalable, and highly available cloud environments. In this role, you'll help ensure reliable connectivity, strong network security, and optimal performance for cloud and hybrid workloads while supporting critical enterprise applications.
What you'll do:
  • Design and implement Azure core networking infrastructure, including virtual networks, subnets, and network security groups
  • Manage hybrid connectivity solutions such as VPN and ExpressRoute to ensure secure and reliable connections between on premises and Azure environments
  • Configure and support application delivery services, including Azure Load Balancer, Application Gateway, and Traffic Manager
  • Implement private access to Azure services using private endpoints and service endpoints
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code solutions using Terraform to automate and standardize Azure network deployments
  • Secure cloud network environments by deploying firewalls, network security groups, and other network security controls
  • Proactively monitor Azure network environments to identify issues, minimize risk, and maintain performance and availability
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network and connectivity issues across Azure and hybrid environments

Experience you'll need to have:
  • 6+ years of experience in a network engineering role at an enterprise level
  • 3+ years of hands on experience with Azure virtual networks, subnets, and network security groups
  • 3+ years of experience developing and managing infrastructure using Terraform
  • 2+ years of experience supporting hybrid connectivity solutions such as VPN and ExpressRoute
  • 2+ years of experience configuring load balancers, application gateways, or traffic management solutions in the cloud
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
  • Position is in the Government Services division and has the following requirements

Experience that would be great to have:
  • Prior experience implementing network security controls, including firewalls and network segmentation
  • Experience monitoring and troubleshooting complex networking issues in cloud or hybrid environments
  • Industry certifications such as Azure Network Engineer Associate or Terraform Associate
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization and clients

Travel:
Approximately 5% travel to other office locations is expected
