Let Vaco advocate for you! We are currently seeking a Network Engineer to support a growing team.Role Expectations

This role is designed for an experienced network professional who can independently resolve complex technical challenges, make sound architectural decisions, and operate with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have the ability to influence technical strategy, drive improvements, and serve as a trusted resource for the Infrastructure team.

This position does not include formal management responsibilities but will provide mentorship and guidance to Network Administrator I and II team members on advanced networking issues.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of enterprise network engineering experience
  • CCNP certification required; CCIE preferred
  • Extensive Cisco routing and switching experience at the CCNP/CCIE level
  • Strong experience with SD-WAN technologies (VeloCloud or similar solutions)
  • Extensive experience with Azure cloud networking
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to technical strategy and architecture decisions, not just execute predefined solutions
Key Responsibilities
  • Own enterprise-level network troubleshooting and architecture decisions across a large, multi-site environment spanning 20+ locations across 9 states
  • Drive SD-WAN strategy and contribute to evaluating future networking technologies and solutions
  • Support major infrastructure modernization initiatives, including identity modernization, Zero Trust implementation, and platform migrations
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to Network Administrator I and II team members
  • Serve as a secondary escalation point for complex network issues
  • Document network architecture, design decisions, and technical standards to support the broader Infrastructure team
