General Manager – Fine Dining Steakhouse |


Downtown Detroit



About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and polished General Manager to lead a high-profile, upscale

steakhouse concept located in the heart of downtown Detroit. This is a confidential search on

behalf of an established, premier fine dining operation — additional details, including the

restaurant name, will be shared directly with candidates who are a strong fit once initial

conversations take place.


This is an excellent opportunity for a guest-focused leader with a strong fine dining background

who wants to take the reins of a well-respected, high-volume establishment in one of Detroit's

most vibrant dining markets.



Responsibilities

- Oversee all day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring an exceptional guest experience

consistent with high-end dining standards

- Lead, develop, and motivate a team across both front-of-house and back-of-house

operations

- Manage P&L performance, including labor and food cost control, to meet financial

targets

- Drive recruiting, hiring, training, and staff development initiatives

- Maintain the highest standards of food quality, service, cleanliness, and health/safety

compliance

- Collaborate closely with culinary leadership to ensure smooth, cohesive operations

between FOH and BOH

- Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, vendors, and the local community

- Uphold brand standards and company policies while fostering a positive,

high-performance team culture



Qualifications

- Proven General Manager experience in a fine dining or upscale full-service restaurant

environment

- Strong financial acumen, including P&L management and cost control

- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and retain high-performing teams

- Excellent guest service orientation and polished professional presence

- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

- Steakhouse or premium dining experience strongly preferred



Compensation & Benefits

- Base Salary: $90,000–$100,000

- Additional compensation: up to $24,000 annually, paid quarterly

- Additional bonus opportunities based on corporate-awarded performance metrics
