Contracted Financial Controllers are often hired to manage financial operations during periods of transition, such as mergers, staff leave, or organizational restructuring. Relocate to Northwest Indiana's Lake Michigan Shoreline - Small-Town Living, Big-City Access

Picture a home base with lakefront beaches and dune-covered trails minutes from your door, a genuine small-town feel, and Chicago's skyline less than an hour away when you want it. This corner of Northwest Indiana sits right along the Indiana Dunes region, giving you affordable housing, low cost of living, and easy weekend access to one of the country's great cities, without the price tag or pace that comes with living in it. The company provides full relocation assistance, with candidates able to begin the role remotely for 30-60 days while relocation logistics are finalized.

This is a rare chance to join our client, a globally recognized aerospace manufacturer, a company that has spent 75+ years pushing the boundaries of turbine engine technology. Consistently ranked among the world's best employers, this publicly traded organization backs that reputation with a culture that genuinely prioritizes its people.

What's in it for you?

  • Stability and momentum, a growing public company with deep industry leadership
  • Benefits that start on day one: premium health coverage and a 9% 401(k) match, one of the strongest in the industry
  • Employer-funded retirement savings contribution each pay period
  • A workplace culture built around collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement
  • Structured development programs to help you grow into your next role
  • On-site fitness center access at participating locations

Role Overview

The Financial Analyst will support the Plant Controller in the execution of day-to-day general accounting functions, coordination of the month-end close process, and daily/weekly/monthly financial reporting. This role assists in developing financial plans and forecasts and analyzing operational results, with primary responsibility for expense processing, inventory monitoring and reporting, standard cost revisions, and the operating budget.

What You'll Do

  • Support the Plant Controller with day-to-day general accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting (daily, weekly, monthly)
  • Analyze manufacturing inventory costs, investigate standard cost variances, and assist with cost reduction initiatives
  • Maintain payroll and fringe expense tracking, labor standards, and site fixed assets/capital plan
  • Assist with the General Accounting and Cost Accounting functions: product costing, variance analysis, account reconciliations
  • Support monthly finance close, business review packages, and budgeting/forecasting
  • Conduct process research (interviews, observation, mapping) and recommend improvements; build spreadsheets/tools to support the work
  • Participate in physical inventory and fixed asset counts; back up daily reporting and checkbook review

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, plus 1-3 years of relevant experience (open to strong new grads with internship experience)
  • Comfortable in Excel; exposure to Word and Access a plus
  • Sharp analytical skills — able to turn data into a clear recommendation
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship); role requires access to export-controlled items
