Job description

Abramorama, a leading independent film distributor for over 25 years is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our accounting and financial operations. This is a great opportunity for a finance professional with entertainment industry experience to join a respected brand in independent film distribution.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including AP/AR, general ledger, and month-end close
  • Manage film revenue recognition, distribution fee accounting, and royalty/participant statements
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and cash flow forecasts
  • Maintain QuickBooks accurately
  • Coordinate with distribution, marketing, and licensing teams on deal-related financial tracking
  • Manage relationships with tax preparers and banking partners


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of accounting experience; entertainment, media, or film distribution experience strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA a plus
  • Strong understanding of revenue recognition for licensing/distribution deals
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently in a fun hybrid environment
