Job Summary: The Engineering Mechanic Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and supporting the engineering mechanics team to optimize manufacturing processes, ensure the seamless operation of equipment, and maintain safety and quality standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and hands-on experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency across all stages of production.

Key Responsibilities: · Supervise and support the engineering mechanics team to maintain a safe, efficient, and reliable production environment.

· Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.

· Implement and optimize process improvements that enhance product quality, reduce waste, and increase overall manufacturing efficiency.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Quality Assurance, and Research & Development, to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.

· Develop and execute a preventative maintenance program for all critical machinery and systems

· Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to food safety, equipment standards, and environmental concerns.

· Supervise capital improvement projects, including equipment upgrades, process changes, and system enhancements, from planning to execution.

· Provide technical training and mentorship to engineering mechanics and plant personnel to improve skill sets and knowledge across the team.

· Monitor and support engineering-related budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions for equipment and process upgrades.

· Drive innovation in automation, data analysis, and lean manufacturing practices to enhance the company’s manufacturing capabilities.

· Evaluate and recommend new technologies and practices that can improve operational efficiencies and product quality.

**Qualifications: **

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) preferred; equivalent hands-on technical experience considered. Requirements:

· 5+ years of experience in engineering, maintenance, or mechanic supervisory roles within a food manufacturing or similar industrial setting.

· Strong knowledge of food production processes, machinery, and food safety regulations. · Proven track record supervising maintenance or engineering mechanic teams and managing technical projects.

· Expertise in process optimization, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies.

· Solid understanding of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems used in manufacturing.

· Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a focus on practical and efficient solutions in a fast-paced environment.

· Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams at all levels. · Proficiency in engineering design software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) is a plus.

· Project management experience with the ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.

· Experience with sustainability practices and a passion for food industry advancements is highly desirable.
