Regional Vice President, External Wholesaler – West Coast

Location: West Coast (Remote)

Reports to: Head of Sales

Overview

An investment management firm which focuses on ETFs is looking to hire a Regional Vice President to expand sales efforts throughout the West Coast. This role is ideal for a player-coach with deep ETF expertise, strong advisor relationships and a proven ability to both produce and elevate a growing sales team.

The Regional Vice President will be responsible for expanding the firm's footprint with RIAs, Family Offices and independent broker dealers throughout the West Coast region while helping to scale a high-performing distribution platform during a critical growth phase.

Responsibilities

    • Grow assets under management throughout the West Coast territory
    • Develop, maintain and deepen relationships with RIAs, broker dealers, family offices and institutional advisors
    • Serve as a player-coach, balancing direct production with mentoring and supporting junior sales talent
    • Lead territory strategy including prioritization of key firms, platforms, and gatekeepers
    • Represent the firm's ETF product offerings at road shows, due diligence meetings, conferences and advisor events
    • Partner closely with internal sales, capital markets and marketing teams to drive effective execution
    • Deliver clear, compliant product positioning and portfolio construction insights to advisors
    • Provide ongoing market intelligence, competitive insights and feedback to senior leadership

Requirements

    • 7 – 10+ years of experience in ETF, asset management, or investment distribution
    • Demonstrated success in an external wholesaler or regional management role
    • Substantial existing advisor relationships across the West Coast
    • Prior experience in a player-coach or team leadership capacity strongly preferred
    • Deep understanding of ETF structure, trading dynamics, liquidity, and portfolio applications
    • FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 required (Series 65/66 a plus)
    • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to engage sophisticated advisors
    • Self-starter mindset with high accountability and entrepreneurial energy
