SUMMARY:


This role is responsible for preparing documentation, arranging cargo bookings, and communicating with carriers, customers, and internal teams. Ensures full compliance with customs regulations and company procedures while delivering accurate and efficient service in a fast-paced logistics environment.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Export Documentation: Prepare and process all required air export documents, including air waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, Shipperโ€™s Letter of Instruction (SLI), and AES filings
  • Trucking Coordination: Schedule and confirm pickups with truckers and make bookings with airlines to ensure timely export departures.
  • Client Communication: Provide timely shipment updates, handle inquiries, and promptly resolve client concerns. Maintain regular communication with customers to ensure clarity on booking status and shipment schedules.
  • Customs Compliance: Ensure all shipments comply with U.S. Customs and international export regulations, including product classification and export controls.
  • Shipment Tracking: Monitor the status of export shipments from pickup to destination, ensuring timely movement through each stage of transit. Proactively identify and address potential delays, discrepancies, or disruptions by coordinating with carriers, warehouses, and overseas agents
  • Billing & Invoicing: Review and process all billing documentation with accuracy and attention to detail. Ensure clients are invoiced correctly and on schedule while verifying that all charges align with service agreements.
  • Warehouse Support: Physically inspect export cargo in the warehouse for potential damage, verify the accuracy of shipping documentation on-site, and ensure proper labeling of freight for international transportation.


SCHEDULE:

  • 9am - 5:30pm
  • Monday - Friday
  • Weekend flexibility when needed


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2 years of freight forwarding experience preferred
  • Strong computer / data entry skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
