Hello! My name is Angela, and I am a Recruitment Consultant at Fed Supply, a specialized recruitment agency focused on supply chain, logistics, transportation, and customer service. We recruit for both temporary and permanent positions throughout the Greater Montreal Area.

The Company
Our client is a leading national retailer with an extensive store network across Canada. To support the continued growth of its international sourcing operations, the company is seeking an Import Clerk (Consolidation) to join its logistics team.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Import, you will play a key role in coordinating international shipments. You will be responsible for monitoring overseas suppliers, consolidating cargo, and coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure imports are delivered efficiently, accurately, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Follow up with overseas suppliers to confirm product readiness;
Coordinate international shipments in a timely and cost-effective manner;
Maintain daily communication with suppliers, freight forwarders, and carriers;
Validate loading plans and coordinate LCL cargo consolidation;
Review loading plans after containers have been loaded;
Monitor delayed shipments and expedite priority orders when required;
Optimize container utilization and ensure vendors comply with company requirements;
Verify shipping marks and shipment information with vendors;
Enter and maintain data in the ERP system (SAP);
Perform other duties as required to support import operations.

Your profile

Qualifications
College diploma (DEC, AEC, or equivalent) in Transportation, Logistics, or a related field;
1 to 2 years of experience in import/export or international logistics;
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities;
Ability to manage a high volume of work in a fast-paced environment;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel;
Experience with SAP is considered an asset.
