Our client, a leading Montreal-based apparel importer with over 25+ years of
experience supplying quality private-label apparel to major Canadian retailers is looking for an Import Coordinator to join their team!
Job Description:
The Import Coordinator will play a key role in supporting our production
department by managing the production cycle from purchase order placement through factory
completion. The successful candidate will work closely with our clients overseas offices, factories,
suppliers, and internal departments.
Responsibilities:
 Coordinate production with overseas apparel manufacturers.
 Issue and maintain purchase orders and production files.
 Monitor production schedules to ensure on-time completion.
 Communicate regularly with overseas factories regarding production status.
 Coordinate approvals for fabrics, trims, lab dips, artwork, fit samples, size sets, pre-
production samples, and TOP samples.
 Work closely with merchandising and management to resolve production-related issues.
Requirements:
 Minimum 3 years of experience in apparel production, sourcing, merchandising, or
import coordination.
 Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing processes.
 Experience working directly with factories in Asia, including China, Bangladesh, India,
Cambodia.
 Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple
priorities.
 Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
 Working knowledge of English is required; French is an asset.
