Job description

Position duties and responsibilities:
  • Review export documents for accuracy
  • Prepare and present Letter of Credit Documents
  • Dispatch export loads and cargo pick-ups, confirm cargo delivered to carrier
  • Track export shipments and advise customer of potential schedule changes if applicable for the client
  • Prepare export documents, file AES and Bill of Lading Instructions prior to vessel cut-offs.
  • Ensure timely distribution of transport documents and billing of freight
  • Negotiate rates with carriers and provide quotes to customers
  • Problem solve with the Export Manager when situations arise that can or do negatively effect our clients and their customers
  • Communicate with all parties in a transaction in a clear, concise, professional manner
  • Above all, provide outstanding, uncompromising customer service

Requirements
  • Knowledge of US Customs Regulations regarding US Exports
  • Country Requirements competence
  • Letter of Credit knowledge and experience preferred
  • Good transportation background, FCL, LCL, rating, routing, documentation
  • Ability to work in a fast paced demanding environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Export experience minimum 2+ years
  • High school diploma, 2 or 4 year college degree beneficial
