Job description

Expanded Functions Dental Assistant -- Full-Time

JR Normandy Dental Argyle Center -- Jacksonville, FL

Bring your skills, your spark, and your scrubsโ€”weโ€™ve got the kind of team youโ€™ll look forward to showing up for.

What if your next Dental Assistant role felt more like joining a family, growing your career, and making a real difference in patientsโ€™ livesโ€”all in one place?

Weโ€™re seeking a friendly, motivated Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our trusted teamโ€”celebrated by patients for our exceptional care and consistently glowing reviews on Google. Our office celebrates wins with high-fives, supports one another like family, and creates an environment where both patients and teammates feel genuinely cared for. Our office stands out for its fun-loving energy, friendships that extend beyond the workday, and a shared purpose of making a differenceโ€”especially through our care with special needs patients and partnerships with local organizations. If you're someone who thrives on teamwork, loves a good laugh, and treats patients with the compassion they deserve, we think youโ€™ll feel right at home here and weโ€™d love to welcome you aboard.

Pay: Competitive, depends on experience and skills

Benefits:

We offer all the good stuffโ€”competitive pay (with a real plan to grow it), premium insurance options, and up to four weeks of PTO to actually use that beach towel or hiking gear. Plus, continuing education so you can add those fancy letters like EFDA to your name without living on ramen.

  • Clear path to maximize your earnings
No crystal ball neededโ€”your growth here is mapped out, supported, and celebrated at every step.
  • Training and certifications from day one
Forget โ€œsink or swim.โ€ We believe in real training that builds real confidenceโ€”and helps you crush it from the start.
  • Continuing education opportunities
Because staying sharp is part of the planโ€”and let's be honest, learning new skills makes you even more unstoppable.
  • Flex time and work-life balance
Youโ€™ll work hard, live well, and still make it to that yoga class or weekend getaway.
  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance, plus so much more!
Protect your health, your teeth, your visionโ€”and yes, even your sanityโ€”with benefits built for real life.
  • Up to 3 weeks PTO + 6 Paid Holidays
Vacations, staycations, or just well-earned lazy daysโ€”youโ€™ll have the time (and encouragement) to enjoy them.
  • 401(k) Program
Smart moves now = easy breezy future. Letโ€™s make sure youโ€™re winning at every stage.
  • Fun, team-first culture
Support isnโ€™t just lip service hereโ€”itโ€™s baked into the way we work, celebrate, and show up for each other daily.

What Youโ€™ll Do:

Sure, youโ€™ll be charting, setting up operatories, and perfecting your โ€˜dental chair ninjaโ€™ movesโ€”but more importantly, we need someone who knows how to show up with heart, help wherever needed, and make patients feel like theyโ€™re in the best hands possible.

  • Provide empathetic chair-side support to our Dentist and Hygienists, including charting and patient education
Youโ€™ll be the calm in the chaos, the friendly face patients trust, and the right hand our providers canโ€™t live without.
  • Ensure smooth patient flow and maintain a welcoming, efficient operatory
Think of yourself as the behind-the-scenes magic makerโ€”keeping the schedule on time and the vibes on point.
  • Take and process X-rays
You'll capture the perfect shots (no awkward selfies here) to help our team diagnose and deliver top-notch care.
  • Maintain accurate records and treatment plans per Dentistโ€™s instructions
Youโ€™re part detective, part scribeโ€”making sure every chart tells the real story and every treatment plan is spot-on.
  • Keep operatories and equipment clean and sterilized
Because sparkling rooms and squeaky-clean tools arenโ€™t just niceโ€”theyโ€™re the secret sauce of top-tier care.
  • Track and prepare lab cases in advance of daily schedules
Youโ€™ll be two steps aheadโ€”so crowns, appliances, and cases are ready to shine exactly when we need them.

What Weโ€™re Looking For:

Weโ€™re looking for that rare combo: someone with hustle, heart, and a hunger to grow. Youโ€™ve got your Dental Assistant certification (or you're working on it), X-ray know-how, and maybe a coronal polish in your back pocketโ€”but what really sets you apart? You care. About people. About patients. About doing great work with great teammates. You jump in without being asked, keep the vibes positive, and youโ€™re always leveling up, both professionally and personally.

  • Compassionate, strong attention to detail, warm demeanor, and a love for working with others
  • A team player whoโ€™s ready to jump in, help, and make patients feel at ease
  • Florida Dental Assisting Registration
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • X-ray Certification (or ability to obtain promptly)
  • Coronal polishing and Nitrous Oxide certification preferred

You bring the passion, drive, and heartโ€”weโ€™ll bring the growth, purpose, and people who have your back.

Apply now and letโ€™s talk about your future here.
