Job description

Account Executive โ€“ Industrial Technology

Location: Midwest (MI, OH, IL, PA preferred)
Travel: Regional, customer-facing
Comp: Competitive base of $130k - $150k+ uncapped commissions

The Opportunity

A rapidly growing industrial technology company is expanding its Midwest sales team.

They help manufacturers improve uptime, reduce unplanned downtime, and gain real-time visibility into equipment performance through advanced sensing and performance-monitoring solutions.

The company is investing in emerging sales talent with strong drive and commercial instincts. This is not a senior enterprise-level role โ€” itโ€™s built for motivated sellers ready to own a territory and grow. This environment rewards self-starters, with support available but without a highly structured training or lead-generation engine.

If youโ€™re competitive, resilient, and energized by new business development in industrial environments, this is a strong next step.

ResponsibilitiesWhat Youโ€™ll Do

This is a full-cycle territory role focused on new customer acquisition.

You will:

  • Proactively prospect and generate your own pipeline through outreach, networking, and field engagement

  • Run discovery with plant, engineering, operations, and reliability leaders

  • Translate operational pain points into clear business value

  • Lead presentations, proposals, and negotiations

  • Partner with internal technical specialists to shape solutions

  • Manage pipeline, forecasting, and CRM activity

Youโ€™ll have strong product and technical support, but are expected to independently drive activity and pipeline.

Who This Role Is For

Experience:

  • 3โ€“7 years of B2B sales experience (SDR, BDR, Inside Sales, or early AE)

  • Exposure to industrial, manufacturing, automation, hardware, or plant-facing customers preferred

  • Track record of hitting activity and revenue targets

You likely are:

  • A true hunter who enjoys prospecting

  • Competitive and income-motivated

  • Comfortable working independently with limited structure

  • Comfortable building your own approach to pipeline generation

  • Curious about how industrial operations work

  • Organized and accountable

  • Willing to travel regionally and spend time at customer sites

This is ideal for SDRs or junior sellers ready to step into full territory ownership.

Required SkillsWhy Itโ€™s Attractive

Performance-Driven Comp Plan

  • Competitive base salary up to $150k & accelerators

  • Uncapped commission

Early Territory Ownership
You wonโ€™t sit behind a senior rep. Youโ€™ll build and grow your region.

Industrial Market Demand
Manufacturers are actively investing in reliability, uptime, and operational visibility. Youโ€™re selling into real budget priorities.

Strong Technical Bench
You donโ€™t need to be an engineer. Technical experts support deeper solution discussions.
